Services for Leo Cole, 89, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Lakeview Memorial Garden, with the Rev. Donald Nunn and Col. Randy Smith officiating. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Marine honor guard detail and VFW Post No. 4002. Arrangements are by East Texas Funeral Home. Mr. Cole died March 6, 2011.
Born February 6, 1922, in East Liverpool, Ohio, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a Master Mason in the Pittsburg Lodge. Survivors include his son, Lee Cole; brother, Paul Cole; and sisters, Leota Rickerd and Sylvia Wolfe. No formal visitation is scheduled.
